Mission Statement & Ethics

Black Tygre Publications believes in the power of the written word and its ability to influence lives by challenging the mind and affecting the heart. The purpose of Black Tygre Publications is to publish expressive works  of  unique  originality  and  to promote  ideas, opinions, and experiences that reflect and encourage positive social values. 

Black Tygre Publications is a panoptic publisher of nonspecific genres and subjects. Our sole requirement is that a writer's material does not run contrary to the values of Black Tygre Publications, which include but are not limited to:

• social equality and cohesion,
• cultural appreciation and harmony,
• spiritual unity, both individually and globally, 
• sexual honor and responsibility, 
• personal growth and self-acceptance.

In order to reach our never-ending goal of the advancement of positive ideas and peaceful coexistence, as well as maintain a high standard of excellence, Black Tygre Publications will seek to publish writers who:

• display an extraordinary talent in and an exceptional mastery of the literary craft; 
• possess a non-judgmental, open-minded approach to belief systems, cultures, and lifestyles contrary to their own;
• create works of intellectual and emotional appeal;
• convey a stimulating message in a creative fashion;
• possess a passion and esteem for the written word.

We understand that not all works will appeal to all readers. However, we aim to release titles that are nevertheless respectful of our diverse global community. While we respect the differing beliefs and opinions of others, Black Tygre Publications will not consider writers who promote or possess, implicitly or explicitly, any sort of discriminatory ideas that are contradictory to those upheld by Black Tygre Publications. Examples of such are spiritual exclusivity, anti-GLBT rhetoric, racist attitudes, and gender inferiority.

Black Tygre Publications is open to many creative genres of literary expression, both fiction and non-fiction, ranging from biographies and novels to short stories and poetry. We believe in creative freedom, and thus have no specifications or requirements regarding a writer's style.
